These are not, and make no pretense of being, scholarly or expert discussions of Scripture. They are not intended to draw notice or praise to the writer. It is my prayer, rather, that the Holy Spirit, our only true teacher in the Word, might reveal through me some truth that will minister to you, or afford an insight that has not come to you before. The format presented here will change as more and more chapters are included.
The format for the study of the Synoptic, or Parallel, Gospels -- Matthew, Mark, and Luke -- is different from that in the other books because all three will be treated together. Many accounts of the life and works of Jesus appear in all three books, some in two of them, and some in only one. The book of Matthew will be used as a guide as much as possible, but beyond that I will attempt to follow the chronology of events.
