Christmas Special

From Jesus Is the Bridge Ministries

God's greatest gift to man was Jesus. All of history revolves around the date of his birth. As Christians, we are well aware of how the world has trivialized the event, with some making every effort to remove all references to Christ, and refer instead to "the Holidays". Whatever the world chooses to do, we must never lose sight of what Christmas is really about/ This is my small way to help celebrate the most precious time of every year.

Christmas Carols

One of the most special part of celebrating the birth of our Lord is the sharing of carols. Many of these are well known, while others have been all but forgotten. I believe they all deserve to the remembered, as a witness of the beginning of the greatest story ever told. Most of the lyrics for the songs given here, and all of the midi files, come from what I think is the greatest hymns site on the web, The Cyber Hymnal. All materials on this page are in the public domain.

Angels from the Realms of Glory
The Angel's Proclamation
Angels We Have Heard on High
As With Gladness Men of Old
Away in a Manger
Beautiful Star
Behold a Little Child
Come All Ye Shepherds
Come Shepherds Come
Coventry Carol
The First Noel
Gentle Mary Laid Her Child
Glad Christmas Bells
Good Christian Men Rejoice
Good King Wenceslas
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Hark the Skies with Music Sound
Hark the Sounds Melodious Stealing
He Is Born
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Infant Holy Infant Lowly
Joy to the World
Long Year's Ago O'er Bethlehem's Plain
O Come O Come Emmanuel
O Holy Night
O Little Town of Bethlehem
O Sing a Song of Bethlehem
O Thou Who by a Star Didst Guide
On a Christmas Morning
Once in Royal David's City
The People That in Darkness Walked
Shepherds in the Field Abiding
There's a Song In the Air
To Shepherds as They Watched by Night
We Three Kings
Wise men Seeking Jesus

Christmas Books, Stories, and Writings

All the books and stories here, some in text format and some in HTML format, are from Project Gutenberg. As required by the site for use of materials downloaded from there, all fore-material and end-material added by Project Gutenberg are retained in the files. I pray that you may receive a special measure of blessing from each book and story we have shared here. As with the world of our own day, some of these books contain both secular and sacred writings. Since I cannot separate them under the terms of their use, I will leave it to your discretion as to what to read and what to pass over.
