LORD HEAR ME NOW

1976

I’m looking each day to the skies far away

But I don’t really know what I see.

I wish I could fly to those regions so high

That the earth disappears far below.

Chorus

Oh, Lord, hear me now,

Won’t you show me just how

That you want me to live every day.

I was lost and alone, now I’m singing this song

As a prayer to Lord Jesus, my King.

I know I should try, in these days passing by

To give more of myself to the Lord;

Give more to each man, and reach out with my hand

To lift up anyone who should fall.

(Chorus)

To be with a friend, love and joy without end,

To be one in the Spirit of God,

As we sing songs of praise to the Ancient of Days

And remain ever true to His will.

(Chorus)

Through the dark nights we tread, and the shadows we dread

May You be like a shield at our side;

May we live without fear, though the Evil One’s near

Having faith in thy victory, oh God!

(Chorus)
