Every time I look upon your smiling face
And I feel your presence near
You pulled me out of sin and saved me by your grace
And you filled my life with song.
How can I forget the day you made me whole
Though many years have come and gone
I never knew what joy was till you saved me soul
Or the peace that washes over me.
Lest I wander off into the paths of ruin
Or seek the pleasures of this world
Your Spirit guides my feet into the paths of light
And chastens me when I do wrong.
When I think of you I want to shout and sing
And lift my hands to praise your name.
Everyone I see must know the truth
Of the miracle of life.
