A NEW LIFE
Amidst the hurry and the strain
I’ve found security,
In these dark times of death and sin
I’ve found a new life.
And when the Spirit overflows
And I must shout for joy
I praise His name and lift my hands
Toward Heaven to Him.
And though all the demons of this world
Should all press in close to me,
I know that when He bids then go
They all will depart.
And if I lose all that I have,
And end up in poverty,
Just so long as He is mine
Then riches abound.
Can you recall in times gone by
When you did not believe?
And all you really cared about
Was here in this world?
Now that our lives belong to him
And all that we have is his
Let’s only seek to do his will
For ages on end.
Although the world may laugh in scorn,
And go on its darkened way
If we are faithful to his name,
Then glory is ours.
Though it should cost our very lives
The promise is worth the price.
There’ll come a time
When we will praise
Him forevermore.
