THROUGH LIFE UNSEEN
Oh, as I pass through life unseen
Through dismal land that once was green
I see earth’s life drain fast away.
What now is darkness once was day.
Waters flowing through the land
What once was life as God had planned
Now drifts up, dying, on the sand.
The light glows dim through darkened sky
With choking sobs, they wonder why.
By Man’s own hand, his end is near
Earth’s king has still not conquered fear.
While walking down the road one day
I saw the land swept fast away
I saw machines strip green-clad hills
And felt the stab of greed that kills.
